Amsterdam is probably the most photogenic city in the world. On this trip there, I stayed in three rundown two star budget hotels in three different parts of the city. One of them was where Rembrandt had his studio, where they have his students' paintings on the walls. Hadn't I stayed there I wouldn't have found a bridge near the hotel with a magnificent view. I took many photos there such as those three above when I stopped on that bridge. It was a view I remembered from somewhere. I took many photos but they just are unable to capture the atmosphere of the place. If there is such a thing as a past life, I must have been the one that created that view in a past live - there are those that create pictures and those that find themselves in them. |
